Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US stocks turned in a mixed performance during trading on Friday. While the
Nasdaq rebounded after yesterdays selloff the Dow showed a notable move to the
downside. The Dow fell 0.7 percent to 32628 and the Nasdaq rose 0.8 percent to
13215.

UK stocks were moving lower on Friday with a surge in U.S. Treasury yields and a
stronger pound keeping investors nervous. The British pound strengthened after a
GfK survey showed British consumer sentiment notched a oneyear high this month. The benchmark FTSE 100 plunged by 1 percent to 6709.

Indian shares shares rose sharply on Friday to snap a fivesession losing streak as
U.S. bond yields edged off the 14month highs reached the day before in reaction to
the Feds decision to allow inflation to accelerate more than normal. The benchmark
BSE Sensex surged by 1.3 percent to 49858.
