Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US stocks saw considerable volatility over the course of the trading session on Friday after showing an initial move to the upside. The major averages showed wild swings as the day progressed but largely maintained a positive bias. The Dow edged moved up by 0.3 percent to 26526 while the Nasdaq climbed 0.5 percent to 7967.

U.K. stocks rose on Friday as investors held out hopes for progress in U.S.China trade talks and a government report showed the U.K. economy expanded at a faster pace in the first quarter as previously estimated. The FTSE 100 moved up by 0.2 percent to 7417.

On domestic front Indian shares fell for a second day in a row on Friday as a twoday Group of 20 summit began in Japans western city of Osaka with focus on free trade. The benchmark BSE Sensex fell by 0.5 percent to 39394.
