Indicated Annual Dividend/Distribution

Understanding the concept of dividend and distribution policies is crucial for anyone interested in finance. In simple terms, the indicated annual dividend/distribution (IAD) is the product of the most recent dividend/distribution and the payment frequency. For instance, if a company pays out $0.04 every quarter, the IAD would be $0.04 multiplied by 4, which equals $0.16. However, for companies without a committed policy, the IAD is calculated by adding up the dividend/distribution amounts paid in the last 12 months. This rate is also known as the indicated rate.
