Angel One Podcast ke iss episode me aapka swagat hai.

Usually, jab aap averaging word sunte hai, aapke mind me kya concept aata hai? Basically, bahut saare values ka average, right? Well, averaging strategy kuch aisi hi hai. Stock market me averaging ka matlab hai aap trading strategies ka bundle le rahe hain - ye sabhi strategies market ki volatility yaani ki asthirta ko manage karne ke liye work karti hai. Aisa karne ke liye unka fundamental principle hota hai share prices ka ghatna ya badhna. For example, agar hum ek emerging bull market dekhein - usme ek newly acquired unit ka price averaging se kam ho jaata hai. Iss case me aapki holding me incremental increase hota hai due to strong fundamentals. Strong fundamentals me hum consistent revenues aur Profit after tax me increase jaise parameters ginte hain. Doosri taraf, agar market gir rahi hai, toh averaging strategy use ki jaati hai taaki humara loss kam ho sake - aur jo units purchase kiye hain, unka revenue badha rahe.

The point is simple: averaging sirf losing trades tak limited nahi - aap kuch shares khareedne ka baad kuch aur shares khareedte hain jisse aapke total shres ke average prices me difference aa jaata hai. Chaliye ab baat karte hain alag alag tareekon ki jinse aap apne stock average kar sakte hain. Pehli technique ka naam hai Averaging down. Ye behad hi popular averaging strategy hai. Iske under, agar aapke shares khareedne ke baad share price me girawat aati hai, toh aap aur shares khareedte hain. Aur zyada shares khareedne se aapke sabhi shares ki average value kam ho jaati hain, and in fact, aapka breakeven point bhi, as a result, kam ho jaata hai.

Iske peeche ka principle ye hai ke agar aapne aaj stock khareede aur kal unka price kam ho gaya, toh bajaye is baat par dukhi hone ke, aap averaging strategy ka istemal karke apne loss ka impact ghata sakte hain aur behtar deal ban sakte hain. Jaisa kaha jaata hai - make the best out of the worst!

Let us take an example to explain this further:
Assume kariye ke aapne 500 shares khareede, at Rs 50 per share. Aapke is trade ke kuch time baad share price market me Rs 46 ho gaya. At this point, instead of fretting that your previous trade didn’t work in your favour, you make the best out of it. Kaise? Aap 500 shares aur khareed lete hain. Aisa karne se aapke shares ka average price is now Rs 48 per share. EVentually, agar stock ka price future me Rs 60 per share ho jaata hai, toh averaging down ki strategy will prove to be useful -kyuki aap profits earn kar paayenge. Agar aapko company ki performance par bharosa hai and you anticipate ki aane wale samay me uske stock ki value badhegi, then it would be a good idea to average down by accumulating more shares. Yaad rakhiyega ke iss strategy ka fayda aksar long-term me hoga. So decide accordingly.

Doosri averaging strategy ka naam hai Averaging Up Bull market me averaging up strategy bhi bahut widely use ki jaati hai. Iss strategy ka istemal karke traders naye units khareedte hain agar voh convinced hain ke stock ka trend growth potential indicate kar raha hai.

Ise bhi ek example ke through samajhte hain. Let’s say there’s A, who has a bullish view on a stock. Woh uss stock ke 100 shares khareedta hai at Rs 1660. Agle kuch dino me, us stock ka price initial buying price se badh jaata hai. Ab A aur bhi achhe se convince ho gaya hai about the movement of the stock, toh woh aur shares khareed leta hai for Rs 1960 and for Rs 2250. Jaisa ki A ne predict kiya tha, usne shares khareede and then uski overall transaction ka cost Rs 587000 tak pahunch gaya. On an average, total shares ka average price Rs 1957 ho gaya. Now let’s say B was in the same position, and usne average up nahi kiya - so B still has 100 shares. Jab A apni position exit karega, uska profit hoga Rs 252900. Lekin jab B exit karega to uska profit hoga Rs 114,000 which is less than A’s profit.

So averaging up strategy can help earn higher profits!

Ek aur averaging strategy hai - it is called pyramiding. Pyramiding bahut hi aggressive trading strategy hoti hai - isme aap apni current position me changes karte rehte hai depending on the share price movement. Ise bhi averaging strategy maana jaata hai kyuki hum fresh positions laakar - by buying more shares - apne shares ka average price badalte rehte hain.

Agar aap high-risk situations me rehna pasand karte hain, then this strategy is for you. Aap share price movements ko constantly analyse karte rahenge - chart pattern breakouts ho, ya moving average breakouts or penetration of resistance levels - bahut tarah ke technical analysis - aur har movement ke basis pe ek nayi position le sakte hain.

Agar aap trends ko study kar rahe hai aur unka analysis karke sahi trading decision le paa rahe hain, then compounding aapke liye work karegi. Pyramiding will work in your favout. Lekin agar ye price trend reverse hua, toh ye bahut jaldi aapke liye reckless aur out-of-control situation ban sakti hai, especially if you take the highest or the lowest position in a trend. Phir aapke losses kam karna mushkil bhi ho sakta hai. Aise me extreme losses ko rokne ke liye ek stop-loss hona bahut zaruri hai. Ek standard pyramid strategy ke under aap largest position pe buy karenge and then fresh positions layenge. Inverted pyramid ke under aap fresh positions layenge to a valued stock in equal increments.

Ultimately, averaging strategies aapko scale up ya scale down karke market volatility ko aapke advantage pe use karne deti hain.

Humari raaye rahegi ke ye strategy seasoned traders hi istemal karein, kyuki inme involved risk is high in such situations.

Hum aapko baaki episodes me bhi trading ke liye tips dete rehange.

Good luck with your trading!
