History of AIA Engineering Limited
Incorporated in 1991, AIA Engineering Limited is involved in the manufacturing of metal and metal products.
In 1978, the company started as Ahmedabad Induction Alloys Private Limited. In 1979, they started operations and produced wear parts for power and cement plants. In 1991, Ahmedabad Induction Alloys Private Limited was amalgamated with AIA. In 2003, the company established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Vega ME (Middle East), as a Wholly-Owned Subsidiary, which started operations in the Middle East. In 2005, the company went public and got listed on the exchanges.
In 2011, the company established a new plant for mining liners and vertical mill parts. In 2017, AIA Engineering started Phase 1 of the Kerala Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation(GIDC), which is a greenfield facility near Ahmedabad for grinding media production. In 2019, the Kerala GIDC’s plant capacity was expanded by 50,000 Metric Tons Per Annum (MTPA). In the same year, the company installed 8 wind turbines of 2.1 Mega Watt each. In 2022, the company installed another 2 wind turbines for a total of 5.4 MW. In 2023, the company expanded the castings capacity to 50,000 MT in their Kerala GIDC plant.
As of March 2023, the company has 6 manufacturing plants with a total manufacturing capacity of 4,40,000 Tons Per Annum (TPA). They serve over 120 countries worldwide, including the USA, the UK, Australia, etc. The company has extensive experience in metallurgy, component design and grinding applications. This enables it to manufacture superior-quality parts for vertical mills, tube mills, pulverisers, and many more.
