Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

The US stock came under pressure early in the trading session on Monday and remained mostly lower throughout the day. With the drop on the day the major averages pulled back further off the record closing highs set last Wednesday. The Dow slid 0.4 percent to 26806 and Nasdaq slumped 0.8 percent to 8098.

U.K. stocks fell on Monday as investors scaled back their expectations for nearterm U.S. rate cut and a former Brexit planning chief has warned everybody should be worried about the consequences of the U.K. leaving the EU without a deal. The FTSE 100 was down by 0.2 percent to 7540.

On domestic front Indian shares plunged on Monday with key benchmark indexes seeing their worst singleday fall of 2019 as several proposals in Nirmala Sitharamans Budget spooked investors. The benchmark BSE Sensex was down by 2.1 percent to 38720.
