Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

The US stocks significantly lower over the course of the trading session on Tuesday giving back ground following the strong upward move seen in recent days. The Nasdaq reached a new record intraday high in morning trading but eventually joined the Dow and SP 500 in negative territory. The Dow plunged 1.5 percent at 25890 and the Nasdaq slumped 0.9 percent to 10343.

UK stocks fell sharply on Tuesday as coronavirus cases continued to surge in the United States and a Federal Reserve official warned that the rebound in the worlds largest economy is in danger of stalling. The FTSE 100 was down by 1.3 percent to 6204.

On domestic front Indian shares ended a volatile session modestly higher on Tuesday with financials and IT companies pacing the gainers in the wake of positive global cues and comments from the finance ministry that green shoots have started to emerge in the domestic economy. The b
