Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

The US stocks moved mostly higher during the trading day on Monday extending the strong upward move seen in the previous session. With the continued advance the major averages all reached new record closing highs. The Dow climbed 0.4 percent to 27462 and the Nasdaq advanced 0.6 percent to 8433.

The UK stocks rose on Friday with resource stocks pacing the gainers after a private survey showed October factory activity in China expanded at its quickest pace since February 2017 helping offset renewed concerns over the potential for a longterm trade deal between the United States and China. The FTSE 100 was up by 0.9 percent to 7369.

On domestic front Indian markets opened on a strong note on Monday mirroring firm cues from other global markets as investors cheered betterthanexpected jobs data from the U.S. and some relatively positive tradewar headlines. The benchmark BSE Sensex inched up
