Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

The US stocks moved mostly lower over the course of the trading session on Friday. The major averages all slid firmly into negative territory with the techheavy Nasdaq showing a particularly steep drop. Dow dipped 0.3 percent to 26820 and the Nasdaq tumbled by 1.1 percent to 7940.

The UK stocks were sharply higher on Friday with oil and mining stocks leading the surge amid renewed hopes for an end to the U.S.China trade war. A weakening pound also boosted sentiment. The FTSE 100 rose by 1percent to 7424.

On domestic front Indian markets ended a choppy session lower on Friday amid mixed global cues in the wake of rising political uncertainty in the U.S. and lingering uncertainty surrounding the U.SChina trade war. The benchmark BSE Sensex fell by 0.4 percent to 38822.
