Indian shares may open lower Friday amid lingering uncertainty surrounding the U.S. presidential election and increasing risks to global economic growth.
Following the selloff seen in the previous session stocks showed a significant rebound during trading on Thursday. The major averages all moved back to the upside with the techheavy Nasdaq showing a particularly strong upward move. The Dow up by 0.52 percent to 26659 the Nasdaq up 1.64 percent to 11185.
U.K. stocks eked out modest gains on Thursday amid optimism that the U.K. and EU were making progress in securing a trade deal. The benchmark FTSE 100 flat for the day and traded at 5582.
Indian shares fell for a second day running on Thursday amid a broadbased selloff with weak global cues and the expiry of monthly derivative contracts swaying the market mood. The benchmark SP BSE Sensex down by 0.4 percent to 39749.
