Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

The US stocks showed a lack of direction over the course of the trading session on Tuesday. The major averages bounced back and forth across the unchanged line although the techheavy Nasdaq still crept up to a new record closing high. The Dow dipped 0.1 percent to 28515 and Nasdaq inched up 0.1 percent to 8952.

UK stocks were moving lower on Monday and the pound treaded cautiously after Prime Minister Boris Johnson won approval for his Brexit deal in parliament on Friday. The FTSE 100 increased by 0.1 per cent to 7575.

On domestic front Indian market remain closed on the occasion of Christmas.
