Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
US Stocks moved mostly higher over the course of the trading day on Tuesday. With the upward move on the day the Nasdaq and the SP 500 ended the session at record closing highs. The Dow climbed 0.6 percent to 26656 and the Nasdaq surged up 105.56 points or 1.3 percent to 8120.
U.K. markets helped lift U.K. markets on Tuesday as trading resumed after a long holiday weekend. FTSE 100 was up by 0.3 percent at 7484.
On domestic front Indian shares fell modestly on Tuesday as rising oil prices raised concerns over inflation and fiscal deficit. The benchmark BSE Sensex ended the session down by 0.2 percent at 38564.
