Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US stocks moved mostly higher during trading on Monday. The major averages all moved to the upside with the techheavy Nasdaq showing a particularly strong advance. The Dow rose 0.3 percent to 32731 and the Nasdaq jumped 1.2 percent to 13378

UK stocks edged lower on Monday after reports suggested that the European Union could begin restricting exports of Covid19 vaccines to the U.K. to try and speed up its own faltering vaccine campaign. The benchmark FTSE 100 fell by 0.4 percent to 6681.

Indian shares fell slightly yesterday as a surge in Covid19 cases and fear of lockdown returning dented sentiment. Weak global cues also weighed on markets as a plunge in the Turkish lira sparked talk that capital controls might be needed to stem the rout. The benchmark BSE Sensex dipped by 0.2 percent to 49771.
