Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US stocks moved higher late in the trading day on Thursday after turning in a lackluster performance for much of the session. The major averages all moved to the upside with the techheavy Nasdaq outperforming its counterparts. The Dow edged 0.2 percent to 29483 and the Nasdaq advanced or 0.9 percent to 11905.

U.K. fell sharply on Thursday as Covid19 numbers across the globe continued upwards and reports suggested that European leaders are considering nodeal Brexit plans due to the lack of progress on key sticking points. The benchmark FTSE 100 fell sharply by 0.9 per cent to 6326.

Indian shares fell sharply on Thursday amid weakness in global equity markets. The indices succumbed to selling pressure on concerns over a surge in coronavirus infections in the U.S. and Europe. The benchmark SP BSE Sensex tumbled by 1.3 percent to 43600.
