Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

U.S. stocks moved mostly higher over the course of the trading session on Friday after recovering from an early move to the downside. The Dow added to the substantial gain posted in the previous session to reach its best closing level in nearly six months. The Dow Jones was up by 0.4% to 25669 and the Nasdaq inched up by 0.1% to 7816.

U.K. shares were subdued on Friday as investors remained apprehensive about the liras rebound and the fate of upcoming U.S.China trade talks. The benchmark FTSE 100 dipped by 0.1% to 7550.

On domestic front Indian stocks closed higher on Friday with the NSE Nifty index finishing at a fresh record high despite mixed global cues and renewed weakness in rupee after the U.S. threatened more sanctions against Turkey. The BSE Sensex rose by 0.8% to 37948.
