The US stocks recovered over the course of the trading day on Monday. The major averages climbed well off their lows of the session and managed to end the day modestly higher. The Dow edged up 0.1 percent to 28036 and Nasdaq inched up 0.1 percent to 8549.
The UK stocks are turning in a lackluster performance Monday morning with investors largely staying cautious and refraining from making significant moves amid a lack of triggers. The FTSE 100 was up by 0.2 percent to 7303.
