Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

U.S. stock continued to experience substantial volatility over the course of the trading yesterday. The major averages fluctuated wildly as the day progressed before closing in positive territory. The Dow increased by 0.4 percent to 23676 while Nasdaq rose by 0.5 percent to 6784.

U.K. shares fell notably in the previous trading session to extend losses from the previous session as global growth worries persisted and oil prices fell for a third straight session on concerns about oversupply. The benchmark FTSE 100 fell by 0.7% to 6722.

On domestic front Indian shares erased early losses to end higher for the sixth straight session on Tuesday shrugging off weak global cues. Markets recovered from the days lows to end modestly higher as the rupee surged further and oil prices fell as much as 3 percent in European trade adding to steep losses in the previous session on concerns about oversuppl
