Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

U.S. stocks turned in a lackluster performance during trading on Wednesday. The Dow Jones dipped by 0.2 percent to 24748 while the Nasdaq rose 0.2 percent to 7295.

U.K. shares rose sharply on Wednesday as weakerthanexpected inflation data sent the pound lower against the dollar. The FTSE 100 was up by 1.3% to end at 7317.

On domestic front Indian shares fell slightly on Wednesday to snap a nineday winning streak even as global markets remained buoyant amid easing geopolitical and trade tensions. The BSE Sensex was down by 0.2% at 34332.
