Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
US stocks moved mostly higher over the course of the trading session on Wednesday. With the turnaround on the day the major averages continued to rebound from the selloff seen on Monday. The Dow rose 0.5 percent to 25648 and the Nasdaq jumped 1.1 percent to 7822.
U.K. stocks recovered from an early slide to trade flat on Wednesday after official data showed the euro zone economy grew by 0.4 percent in the first quarter in line with the initial estimate two weeks ago. The benchmark FTSE 100 was down by 0.1 percent at 7234.
On domestic front Indian shares ended notably lower on Wednesday as fears of worsening U.S.China trade tensions coupled with uncertainty about the outcome of general elections prompted profit booking after a tentative rebound the previous day. The benchmark BSE Sensex was ended down by 0.6 percent to 37114.
