Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
The US stocks fluctuated over the course of the trading session yesterday but largely maintained a positive bias before ending the day mostly higher. The major averages finished the day firmly positive but well off their early highs. The Dow rose by 0.9 per cent to 26870 and the Nasdaq moved up by 0.6 percent to 10550.
UK stocks advanced on Wednesday after Moderna coronavirus vaccine showed promising safety and immune response results in published Phase 1 study and official data showed British inflation accelerated unexpectedly in June. The FTSE 100 increased by 0.7 percent to 6224.
On domestic front Indian shares gave up early gains to end on a flat note Wednesday as gains in IT stocks were offset by losses in index heavyweights RIL and Bharti Airtel. The benchmark BSE Sensex just crawled up by 0.1 percent to 36052.
