Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US Stocks showed a lack of direction throughout the trading day on Thursday following the notable upward move seen in the previous session. The major averages spent the day bouncing back and forth across the unchanged line. The Dow was flat at 25710 while the Nasdaq slipped 0.2 percent to 7631.

U.K. markets ended higher on Thursday with investors digesting a slew of earnings reports and tracking developments on the Brexit front. The FTSE 100 was up by 0.4% to 7185.

On domestic front Indian shares ended largely unchanged on Thursday after rising for three consecutive sessions. The rupee was a tad weaker oil prices jumped and a gauge of wholesale inflation rose to 2.93 percent in February from 2.6 percent in January keeping investors nervous. The benchmark BSE Sensex was flat at 37755 at the end of trading session.
