Indian markets are likely to open negative tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

The US stocks fluctuated over the course of the trading day on Friday but maintained a largely positive bias. The advance on the day came on the heels of the selloff seen in the previous session. The Dow increased by 1.9 percent to 25606 and the Nasadq rose by 1 percent to 9589.

UK stocks moved higher on Friday with travelrelated companies rising after airlines launched legal action against the governments quarantine rules for inbound travelers. The FTSE 100 was rose by 1.1 percent to 6145.

On domestic front Indian shares reversed steep losses to end higher on Friday tracking gains in European markets and U.S. stock futures. The benchmark BSE Sensex was up by 0.7 per cent to 33780.
