Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US Stocks moved sharply higher over the course of the trading day on Tuesday. With the strong upward move the major averages reached their best closing levels in over two months. While the Dow soared 1.5 percent to 25425 and the Nasdaq jumped 1.5 percent to 7414.

U.K. markets eked out modest gains on Tuesday as U.S. lawmakers reached a deal to avert another government shutdown and investors waited for Prime Minister Theresa Mays Brexit update to MPs later in the day. The FTSE 100 was up by 0.4% to 7157.

On domestic front Indian shares fell for a fourth straight session on Tuesday as investors looked forward to the release of retail inflation and industrial output data for directional cues. During the trading session the BSE Sensex fell by 0.7% to 36153.
