Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

U.S. stock closed mostly higher on Wednesday as traders expressed renewed optimism about U.S.China trade talks after waffling between hopeful and skeptical on Tuesday. The Dow climbed 0.6 percent to 24527 and Nasdaq jumped 1 percent to 7098.

U.K. shares are rising for a second successive session with investors reacting positively to the developments on the U.S.China trade front and shrugging off concerns about Brexit uncertainty. The benchmark FTSE 100 was up by 1.1% to 6879.

On domestic front Indian shares ended on an upbeat note on Wednesday with investors indulging in hectic buying across the board reacting positively to the results of assembly elections and the appointment of a new governor for the Reserve Bank of India. During the last trading session the BSE Sensex was up by 1.8% to 35779.
