Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US Stocks showed a lack of direction over the course of the trading session on Monday after failing to sustain an initial move to the upside. The major averages spent the day bouncing back and forth across the unchanged line. While the Dow dipped 0.2 percent to 25053 while the Nasdaq edged up 9.71 points or 0.1 percent to 7307.

U.K. markets were moving higher Monday morning amid renewed optimism about U.S.China trade talks. The FTSE 100 was up by 0.9% to 7137.

On domestic front Indian shares ended lower on Monday extending losses to a second straight session amid concerns about global growth and anxiety ahead of the next round of high level U.S.China trade talks. During the trading session the BSE Sensex fell by 0.5% to 36395.
