Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US stocks saw substantial volatility over the course of the last trading session. The major averages showed wild swings as the day progressed before closing notably higher. The Dow Jones ended on an upside front of 1.4% to close at 24191 and the Nasdaq Composite edged up to 1.4% to 6874.

U.K. shares drifted lower on last trading session although a rebound in U.S. stock futures helped to limit overall losses to some extent. The FTSE 100 was down by 1.1% to close at 7092.

On domestic front Indian shares opened sharply lower after the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged more than 4 percent overnight to enter correction territory on worries over rising inflation and higher interest rates. The Sensex ended on a downside front of 1.2% at 34006 while the Nifty ended at 10455 with a downside of 1.2%.
