Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
US stocks moved sharply higher during the trading day on Friday Extending the substantial recovery seen over the past few sessions. With the rally the Dow reached its best closing level in a month after ending last Fridays trading at a fourmonth closing low. The Dow rose by 1 percent to 25984 and the Nasdaq soared by 1.7 percent to 7742.
U.K. stocks rose notably on Friday extending gains for the fifth day running as a rise in global oil prices pushed energy stocks higher. FTSE 100 was up by 0.7 percent at 7313.
On domestic front Indian shares ended a volatile session modestly higher on Friday as financials recovered some ground after steep losses in the previous session. During the trading session benchmark BSE Sensex inched up by 0.2 percent to 39615.
