Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

US stocks turned in a lackluster performance during trading on Tuesday. Despite the choppy trading the techheavy Nasdaq inched up to a new record closing high. The Dow edged down less than a tenth of a percent to 31376 while the Nasdaq crept up 0.1 percent to 14008.

U.K stocks were little changed on Tuesday after data showed U.K. retail sales declined for the first time since last spring. Total sales decreased 1.3 percent on a yearly basis in January as the current lockdown has hit nonessential retailers harder than in November data from the British Retail Consortium showed. The benchmark FTSE 100 was almost flat at 6518.

Indian shares ended marginally lower yesterday as investors booked profits from a recent rally powered by falling coronavirus infections the vaccine rollouts and last weeks highspending and growthfocused budget The benchmark BSE Sensex was almost flat at 51329.
