Indian markets are likely to open negative tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

The US stocks gave back some ground during trading on Friday after moving sharply higher over the course of the last several sessions. The Dow dived by 0.9 percent to 29102 and the Nasdaq fell by 0.5 percent to 9521.

UK stocks edged lower on Friday as concerns persisted around the global economic impact of the deadly corona virus outbreak. The benchmark FTSE100 dipped by 0.3 per cent to 7482.

On domestic front Indian fell modestly on Friday to snap a fourday winning streak as news on the rising death toll in China due to fast spreading corona virus dented sentiment. The benchmark BSE Sensex was down by 0.4 percent to 41142.
