Indian markets are likely to open positive tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

The US stocks ended slightly higher on Friday after languishing in the red for most part of the days session. The Dow ended up 0.17 percent at 27433 while the Nasdaq snapped a sevenday winning streak as it settled at 11010 with a loss of 0.87 percent.

UK stocks fell slightly on Friday as investors adopted a cautious stance ahead of the monthly U.S. jobs numbers due tonight expected to show U.S. jobs creation slowed in July from the previous month amid a resurgence in Covid19 cases. The FTSE 100 was down by 0.4 percent to 6001.

On domestic front Indian shares ended a choppy session on a flat note Friday tracking weak Asian and European markets after U.S. President Donald Trump ratcheted up simmering tensions with China by banning U.S. transactions with Chinas most popular mobile apps. The benchmark BSE Sensex was up by 0.1 percent to 38040.
