Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.

U.S. stocks saw considerable volatility during trading on Monday as many traders remained away from their desks amid the Columbus Day holiday. The major averages showed wild swings over the course of the trading session. Eventually the major averages ended the day mixed. The Dow rose by 0.2 percent to 26487 while the Nasdaq fell by 0.7 percent to 7736.

UK stocks fell on yesterday to hover near threeweek lows after surveys released by Deloitte and the British Chambers of Commerce highlighted concerns among British businesses over Brexit. A weak pound helped to limit overall losses to some extent.The FTSE 100 was down by 0.3 percent at 7296.

On domestic front Indian shares rose slightly on Monday to snap a threeday losing streak as oil prices fell sharply and the government said it will not go back on fuel deregulation helping spur a rally in the battered oil sector. The BSE Sensex was up by
