Indian markets are likely to open flat tracking global indices and SGX Nifty.
U.S. stocks showed a strong move back to the upside during last trading session. The major averages initially showed a lack of direction but climbed firmly into positive territory as the day progressed. The Dow Jones jumped up by 1.7% to close at 24033. The NASDAQ ended up by 1.0% to close at 6941.
U.K. stocks opened lower as traders returned to their desks after a long Easter holiday weekend. The FTSE 100 was down by 0.7% to end at 7005.
On domestic front Indian shares ended a choppy session slightly higher even as global markets succumbed to selloff amid jitters about U.S.Chinese trade tensions and mounting public scrutiny of technology companies. The BSE Sensex ended up by 0.4% at 33370.
