Info Edge (India) Ltd is the premier online classified company based in India with a portfolio of brands. It was incorporated on May 01, 1995, as Info Edge (India) Private Limited. The company commenced its business journey with a classified recruitment online business, naukri.com. Since then, the company expanded its business into different verticals such as 99acres.com (online real estate), jeevansathi.com (online matrimonial) and shiksha.com (online education information services). In 1997, it launched the internet portal www.naukri.com. Subsequently, after a year (1998), the www.jeevansathi.com was launched.
In 2000, the company acquired the business of the Quadrangle division from Mr Jeyadev Parthasarathy. After 4 years, it acquired a 65% stake in Jeevansathi Internet Services Private Limited (JISPL) in 2004. As a result, the company became 100% owner of JISPL. Info Edge was listed on BSE and NSE in 2006 after an IPO. In 2008, it launched www.shiksha.com via investment in Applect Learning Systems Pvt. Ltd.
In 2013, it finished the acquisition of MakeSence Technologies Pvt Ltd. It acquired 4B Networks Private Limited through its wholly-owned subsidiary at the purchase consideration of ₹9 crore in 2021. Info Edge (India) has signed an agreement to acquire securities in Juno Learning (Juno) in 2022.

It also runs www.naukrigulf.com, a job site focused on the Middle East market, offline executive search (www.quadranglesearch.com) and a fresher hiring site (www.firstnaukri.com). In addition, it provides jobseekers value-added services (Naukri Fast Forward) such as resume writing.
