Exhibit 1: Nifty Daily Chart
Sensex (35165) / Nifty (10689)
It was certainly a good start of the trading week for our markets
as compared to its global peers. Majority of Asian bourses were
dull; but despite this we had a gap up opening by a fair margin.
Subsequently, the early morning lead got extended as the day
progressed and eventually the Nifty went on to reclaim the 10700
mark.
Yesterday at the close, if we just look at the index, we can see it
was a decent day for our markets after benchmark gaining circa
eight tenths of a percent. But if we analyze thoroughly, we will get
to see what broader markets has done yesterday. There were
umpteen numbers of stocks who literally flew during the session
and most of them were the recent beaten down laggards. This is
what we had anticipated and mentioned in our recent articles.
Going ahead, we may see continuation of this stock specific relief

further steam left in this space and hence, one need to keep
focusing on marquee names within this basket.
As far as index strategy is concerned, the Nifty has now hastened
towards its cluster of resistances which we can see in the zone of
10720 - 10740. Hence, it’s advisable to start lightening up index

opined about ‘Pharma’ sector getting bottomed out for a while.
Yesterday, ‘Sun Pharma’ had a stellar move after its better than
expected Q4 numbers.
Nifty Bank Outlook - (26614)
Exhibit 2: Nifty Bank Daily Chart
The Nifty Bank index started trading for the week on a positive
note and continued the positive momentum throughout the
session to end the day with gains of 1.30 percent.
Post the recent corrective move, the Nifty Bank index has rallied
sharply and has gained over 1000 points in just three trading
sessions. While such momentum in the index is a positive sign, the
key challenge now would be to see if the heavyweights continue
the up move further to take the index above the recent high of
26972. Since the index has rallied sharply and is now near to the
mentioned resistance, there could be some volatility in the stocks
as such scenarios often lead to a profit booking phase. Hence, we
continue to advise traders to ride with the momentum but also
keep strict stop losses on the trades. The intraday support for the
index are placed around 26425 and 26300 whereas resistances
are seen around 26780 and 26972.
