Indian markets are likely to open negative tracking global cues and SGX Nifty. U.S. stocks fell Tuesday with the SP 500 dropping for a sixth consecutive session to end at a nearly fourmonth low as investors grappled with a tightening presidential race economic data corporate earnings and the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy decision. The SP 500 index fell 0.7% to close at 2112 while Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.6% to finish at 18037. U.K. stocks dropped Tuesday with investors starting off November trade by sifting through more earnings releases and knocking down BP PLC and Standard Chartered PLC shares after their respective updates. The FTSE 100 finished a choppy session down 0.5% at 6917 with no sectors finishing higher. Indian markets closed on a lower note on Tuesday amid volatile trading session weighed down by defensive sectors like IT FMCG and pharma.
