Mahindra Ugine Steel tumbles as net loss widens

The company announced the results during trading hours today, 3 February 2012.

The stock hit a high of Rs 62.85 and a low of Rs 58.30 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 66.50 on Thursday, 2 February 2012. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 42.25 on 30 December 2011.

The small-cap stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 2 February 2012, rising 43.68% compared with the Sensexs 12.33% return. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, surging 32.76% as against 0.19% decline in the Sensex.

The company has an equity is Rs 32.48 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

Mahindra Ugine Steel Companys net sales rose 15.1% to Rs 389.75 crore in Q3 December 2011 over Q3 December 2010.

Mahindra Ugine Steel Company manufactures tool, alloy and special steels. Its products are used mainly by the automobile and general engineering industries.
