Ahead of the Union Budget 2012-13, the Railway Budget will be presented on 14 March 14, followed by the Economic Survey 2010-11 on 15 March.
Generally, the budget session starts in the third week of February, but it has been delayed this time due to the ongoing Assembly elections in five states. The model code of conduct is in force till 09 March, when the election process would be completed.
